mrpwick 24 Oct 2011, 11:42 | iTunes crashing opening prefs. Hi Turly, I am findin iTunes version 10.5 (141) 64 bit is crashing every time I try to open its prefs. I get a crash report that starts like this:- Process: iTunes [1429] Path: /Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/MacOS/iTunes Identifier: com.apple.iTunes Version: 10.5 (10.5) Build Info: iTunes-10509941~1 Code Type: X86-64 (Native) Parent Process: launchd [165] PlugIn Path: /Library/PreferencePanes/FinderPop.prefPane/Contents/Resources/finderpop-daemon.app/Contents/Resources/fp-patch-mb-cocoa.bundle/Contents/MacOS/fp-patch-mb-cocoa PlugIn Identifier: com.finderpop.fp-patch-mb-cocoa PlugIn Version: 2.4.1 (2.4.1) Any solution. |
turly 24 Oct 2011, 19:45 | Re: iTunes crashing opening prefs. Hmm, iTunes prefs works for me on 10.6 and 10.7. You can inhibit FinderPop from patching iTunes in FinderPop's Exclude tab - just drag the iTunes.app icon into the list. Or turn off FinderPop, start iTunes, and see if the problem persists. Email me the Crash Report and I'll have a look (turly at finderpop dot com). All Crash Reports now begin with the pathnames and versions of any loaded plugins - even if the crash was elsewhere. |
mrpwick 25 Oct 2011, 14:13 | Re: iTunes crashing opening prefs. Still crashes if Finderpop off or excluded, so obviously not to blame. I didn't realise "all crash reports begin with pathnames and versions of any loaded plugins - even if the crash was elsewhere." Sorry for blaming Finderpop!!! I will try and email the crash report, but understand it's not your problem! |
