Unfortunately I already tried the Finder Preferences thing a long time back and indeed it still doesn't hide the file extensions like .pdf, .doc, etc. I wish it was that easy but it isn't. By the way, this little hitch notwithstanding, I absolutely love FinderPop. Hopefully it's something easy and simple to fix. Much thanks. |

I have been tinkering to death to get the in-lined file names to not show the DOS extensions. No luck. I'm really baffled. How can I get this to work? I'm using an Intel MacBook Pro with the latest OS (10.5.8) and FinderPop 2.2. This syndrome was also unsolvable in 10.5.7. By the way, this is also evident on my PowerPC Power Mac G5 running the latest OS update. Does the beta (2.2.1) solve this? Is it safe to try? Much thanks. |
