If I remove it and reinstall the earlier version FP241 that version doesn't work any longer, either. Logging Out/In or restarting doesn't help. I am running OS 10.7.4, and FP241 used to work fine (until today). 24 hours later: After uninstalling and reinstalling FP241 and/or FP243 several times (with and without restarting), FP243 is working again -- for reasons unknown. |

The installation problem was caused by an application called 'BetterZip': if one unpacks FP243.zip using BetterZip, a window opens displaying the contents of the package including the FinderPop.prefPane. Double-clicking on the FinderPop.prefPane in this window appears to install FP, but it doesn't work afterwards. Dragging the FinderPop.prefPane from the BetterZip window to the desktop and double-clicking it there works fine. |
