denovo 30 Aug 2012, 23:24 | Re: FP-Injector quit unexpectedly (10.8.1) Actually doubt it has anything to do with iPhoto. Happened again today with Mail, Safari and, topmost, Garmin Web Updater. Crash affects only FP-Injector, apparently. |
denovo 09 Sep 2012, 23:07 | Re: FP-Injector quit unexpectedly (10.8.1) Just had a dialog report that fp-injectjor was not permitted to load because it was an app from an unknown developer, and I could authorize it by control clicking the app, but that's not an easy trick with fl-injector. I opened System Prefs and clicked FinderPop and got the same dialog again. Closed, reopened and tried control-clicking finderpop, but this just offers to remove it. Finally closed system prefs, changed my security settings to allow apps from anywhere and then clicked finderpop, which didn't this time generate the 'not permitted' dialog. Then I reactivated the Security setting to allow only known developers and App Store apps. FinderPop continues to work without any error dialogs. Keeping my fingers crossed that this resolves the issue! |
RonaldPR 10 Sep 2012, 08:48 | Re: FP-Injector quit unexpectedly (10.8.1) With default (middle) Gatekeeper settings in Mountain Lion, such messages are to be expected for non-signed applications that are launched for the first time. Once allowed to run, it should not happen again (until of course a new version is installed or if you used a maintenance utility that resets the information that the application was allowed to run). I do not know if FinderPop is code-signed or not, I upgraded to Mountain Lion while FP was already installed. You can find finderpop-daemon inside the FP package and control-click it there if needed: /Library/PreferencePanes/FinderPop.prefPane/Contents/Resources/finderpop-daemon.app |
turly 30 Sep 2012, 17:00 | Re: FP-Injector quit unexpectedly (10.8.1) Fixed the FP-Injector crash (among other things) in 2.4.5. Am looking at the code signing stuff now, but it won't be today! |
