Before El Capitan, I used FinderPop + XtraFinder: http://www.trankynam.com/xtrafinder/. Like FinderPop, XtraFinder is blocked by SIP. Hunting for a solution, I discovered this recommendation at https://www.reddit.com/r/OSXTweaks/comm ... ve/cvuxvtq 1. Disable SIP 2. Install XtraFinder 3. Move /Library/ScriptingAdditions/XtraFinder.osax to /System/Library/ScriptingAdditions/XtraFinder.osax 4. Open terminal and run sudo ln -s /System/Library/ScriptingAdditions/XtraFinder.osax /Library/ScriptingAdditions/ 5. Enable SIP Pretty sure the order of steps 1 and 2 doesn't matter Success appears to vary; see https://www.facebook.com/XtraFinder/ As someone not technically savvy, I wonder whether the recommended solution for XtraFinder is dangerous; if not, might it help revive FinderPop under El Capitan? Sorry if his merely displays my naivete. |

Is there any hope of resuscitating Finderpop under El Capitan without doing whatever is lost when SIP is disabled? |

I'm an avid FP user but not very technically sophisticated. Will FP work if I upgrade to El Capitan? Thanks. |
